I BEAT ZELDA II

YEAH. I BEAT ZELDA II.

Now, beating a 15 year old game isn't really a big deal or anything... But... It......... Yeah. IT IS!

This game was designed by a mean jerk butt. Without a guide it's would have taken an extra zillion years or something. To GET to the last castle, you have to go through about 10 of these stupid cheap places with lava pits all over that kill you instantly and flying things that, if they hit you, will knock you into the lava, and you NEED to get to the last castle without dying once or you basically stand no chance.

THEN, in the last castle there are a whole bunch of routes that are dead ends and lead nowere, secret passages that lead to really hard monsters and nothing else, stupid impossible monsters that, on my winning run, I didn't even try to kill - I just put my shield on got hit a few times and ran past them. To beat the second to last boss, you have to use three spells - shield, jump, and thunder - and then, you don't have enough magic to cast your heal spell. And because there are no magic refills in the last area, you have to get to the boss with an extra life, then have him kill you so your mana refills. And the second to last boss is super hard and every time he hits you he takes out 1.5 bars of life with a shield, so you only get like 5 hits before he beats ou up. And THEN there's a boss after that. I remember as a little kid celebrating that I beat the really hard boss finally, only to die to the boss after that and pull a darth vader and be like NOOOOOOOOOOO.

When I beat it I was like "Wait, did I beat it??" Then I was like "I DID beat it!" Then I got up and did a celebratory "I RULE" dance that I haven't done since I found out my grades for last term. Then I ran upstairs to show Chris how cool I am. Hehehe. Chris rules.

Well, I think I'll stop talking about Zelda now. I gotta beat Ocarina of Time before the new one comes out so I can experience the best Zelda ever made :D
